My recent journey

Hi!

A week after returning from Rome, I went to London. I must admit that I have wanted to visit this city for a long time, especially after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. A funny thing happened when I was ordering tickets. Two days before the trip I was buying tickets and it turned out that I bought two by accident and I was surprised that it cost me so much. After a two-hour journey, we landed. London looked like something out of a book. Misty and unpleasant. We started our tour at Buckingham Palace. It was really huge. The highlight of the program turned out to be Diagon Alley. There I found the missing books from my collection at much better prices than in a bookstore or on the Internet. Finally, we stayed for a cricket match.

Magical cafe

 Hello everyone!

I wanted to share a beautiful place with you - a café.
Last holiday, I was in Zakopane. On day one I was at the pond called Sea Eye. The Second day,  my family and I were in Valley of five Ponds. The third day was beautiful. In the morning we went to the centre of Zakopane. We had very good ice cream which recipe hasn’t changed for 100 years. The ice cream was really delicious. I saw a beautiful white bear with which I had a fantastic photo. When I went to the café, I thought that the café would be boring and ordinary. It was a mistake. The café was very interesting and I was surprised by the view! It was absolutely fantastic because the café was located on the 4th floor of a building. It had a big, new deck where we could see the Polish Tatra Mountains. The view is breathtaking. You must see it!

Have a nice night or have a nice day depending on when you read this :)

A great place to eat

Hi guys. It’s been quite a while, since I’ve written here, but I was busy. I want to tell you about something big.

Recently, I discovered a new restaurant in my neighbourhood.

Namely, an italian restaurant! Can you belive it?

I have never heard about this place and I was thrilled, about trying new food.

My family and I went to this restaurant last Sunday.

I ordered lasagna and typical Italian dessert, but I didn’t expect such a delicious meal.

It tasted so well and I could feeel every single taste of  the ingeredients. It was not only good food, but also very nice service. The waiters were really kind and communicative. I couldn’t stop smiling at them.

I obviously recommend this restaurant  and you have to visit this place.

You can  let me know about less famous restaurants nearby, cause I’m so  willing to find  out new places, like this!

Take care

The most difficult piano piece

Dear Readers !

I want to tell you about one of the most difficult music pieces ever written for piano solo: "Morceaux de fantasie Prelude " opus 3/2 ( also known as  "The Bells of Moscow") composed by Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff in 1892. The composition is four page long in music sheets transcription and it takes aroud four minutes to play and a lot longer to learn how to play it...

It was composed in the grim C - sharp minor tonality in an even meter. The prelude has ternary form (ABA)- is organized into three main parts

*The first movement - Lento (at a slow tempo) begins with a three-note motif played fortissimo, which puts us in the mood of the piece, then in the third bar the volume changes to piano pianissimo to expose the theme;

*The second movement is market as Agitato ( in a restless and agitated manner )it begins with chromatic triplets that pasionately builds to interlocking chord triplets that descend into  climatic recapitulation of the main theme;

*The last part of the works, the motifs from the first part reappear and a coda (ending)- seven bar ending that end quietly.

The difficulty of this piece written by this well-known to everyone Russian composer is wide-ranging and it mainly concerns advanced technical requirements - "a sea of octaves" for the right and left hand to be played in the first and last part of the work in the form of consecutive eigth notes interspersed with an octal band and the discrepancy of the dinamics and articulation (from piano pianissmo to forte fortissimo or contrary )- it's hard to keep right dinamic with playing extremly wide, massive chords at the same time, therefore it is really important to have a great coordination, flexibility and strenght in both hands in order to play correctly; also the difficulty of the interpretation -"Morceaux de fantasie Prelude " opus 3/2 conatin very deep, hard to define emotions such as sorrow, anger or pride - overall negative/melancholic emotion that can be closely connected with lifestory of the composer who had been suffering from depression , so every one can see something different in this composition.

"The Bells of Moscow" is a wide-ranging and difficult composition with incomprehensible message hidden through it by the Rachmaninoff.
I recommend listening to Rachmaninoff's music, not only to the piece I shared with you, but also to other masterpieces like "Vocalise", "Prelude in G minor", "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini", "Piano concerto no.2", "Piano concerto No. 3", "Isle of the dead" or "Polka Italienne".

I hope I caught your attention and made you feel interested in the topic.

Have a nice day.

An unexpected discovery

 Hello everyone!

A lot of us don't like books. I also used to hate books, they were boring to me and thought I was too stupid to read a book. Two years ago, I got a book by Nicholas Sparks, "The Notebook". I was so hooked on the book that I read the entire volume within 3 days! Now, I do not part with Sparks' books. Their storyline is extremely interesting and addictive. I never thought you could cry while reading a book. When you have free time, pick one of Sparks' bestsellers!

Have a nice night or have a nice day depending on when you read this:)

A great app!

Hello all!

I would like to share with you an application that makes it easier for me to learn English. It is not as ordinary and boring as the rest. It is made in an extremely humorous way. We learn English based on excerpts from movies that almost everyone has seen at least once in their life! Of course, the funniest scenes. I recommend "Ewa" application to everyone. Certainly, it will make your English learning more pleasant.

Kisses and hugs.
