Christmas meal at school

On Tuesday, December 13th, my class I LO"d" together with our form teacher organised a Christmas dinner. We were waiting for it all day. Our teachers were very understanding and kind and didn't require too much from us. We went through six lessons and began the preparaions: some of us took care of sweets, mandarines, drinks, wafer and tableware, others made every effort to prepare our classroom. Everything looked amazing! We even had a special guest! Mr Wota, the school counsellor, joined us to celebrate this special occasion.
At first, the school counsellor and our form teacher gave us their best wishes. Next, everyone wished each other all the best and gave away huggs. Afterwards,, we sat at the table to try the prepared dishes - Barszcz (beetroot soup) with Uszka (ravioli-like dish) or Krokiety (pancake rolls with filling) and traditional Pierogi (typically Polish dumplings-like dish). Everything smelt woderful but pierogi tasted funny so we decided to share them with our schoolmates from year two. We had a lot of laugh! We felt the spirit of Christmas and had a great time together.
The class president took care of everything. I would like to thank her for the excellent organization and a lot od willingness.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all readers!

Satna Claus

Św. Mikołaj in the UK is Father Christmas, or Santa Claus.
Children write letters to him and send them via mail, e-mail, or more traditionally, put letters to the fireplace and then the wind lifts the letter, which wanders through the chimney, and Santa Claus reads the note from the smoke.
Everywhere in the world, children put in the letters a list of gifts that they would like to get.
All children should leave Snacks for Santa Claus: a muffin or cookies with milk and carrots for the reindeers.
Father Christmas lives in the North Pole. He arrives on a sleigh, squeeze himself down  through the chimney and puts presents into socks, pillowcases, or leave them under the Christmas tree.
All of these, take place on Christmas Eve, and childern usually open their gifts on Christmas Day.

Christmas in Poland

In Poland Christmas is one of the biggest holidays. It is celebrated on December 24th. To bring hapiness for the next year the first person to visit home should be male. After many preparations whole family gathers at one table to celebrate the birth of Christ. Women cook all kinds of traditional dishes, children decorate the Christmas tree brought by the men. When the first star appears in the sky, family members share sacramental bread, eat 12 dishes supper. One of the most important dishes is "barszcz" (beetroot soup) and it's obligatory to have. The barszcz may be eaten with "uszka" (little dumplings with mushrooms) or "krokiety" (pancakes with mushrooms or/and cabbage, in breadcrumbs, fried on oil or butter). Carp is the main dish of the meal. The fish itself is traditionally bought a few days earlier alive and it swims in the bath until it's killed by the man of the house! The carp's scales are said to bring luck and fortune and by some are kept for the whole year. Evening ends with singing Christmas carols and unpacking presents.

Tips for Christmas

Hi!
Today, I would like to give you some tips
for Christmas. There are many ways to save
money and time.
Firstly, you can get some shopping codes
online and buy cheaper things in the shops
you like. What's more, if you are ill or for
some reasons can't go to the shop you can do online shopping and get it
delivered in no time.
In December in RCKP, Krosno there is a Christmas fair. Don't miss it!
You will be able to buy Christmas decorations, get some ideas what to cook
or prepare for this special occasion.
If you feel that you have got some spare money, you can always donate it
to somebody around you.
Tidy up your rooms to get some space for the new
presents. The old, unwanted toys can always be taken to children's home.
They will be happy!
On the other hand, you can sell unwanted things via internet.
Before Christmas it is always easier. In this way you can get extra cash. Then
spend it for something you like best!
   Hope you like my tips!
Marry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

YouTube fan

Yesterday, when I went to bed, I turned on YouTube. I noticed that "The PanToster" has added a new film! (This is my favourite youtuber.) I watched the film, and gave him a "like". This is a very funny film! This boy has made an effort. He is always bizzare, but verry funny. I  like him so much. The film's title is MLG Minecraft "portal challenge". The soundtrack to the film is really cool Uśmiech. Fellow fans of "The PanToster" also watched this video, and we are all very happy.Mrugnięcie

Christmas

CHRISTMAS is the time that we spend with our family.
There are some diffrences how other countries celebrate this time. One of the best known behaviors is hanging some Christmas stockings on the mantlepiece by children and waiting until morning for Santa Claus to put sweets and gifts into them.

Usually The British eat
roast turkey
with potatoes when the first star appears on the sky.

Nobody should forget abut getting the fir tree (or spruce tree) - commonly known as Christmas Tree :)

Of course, it should be decorated with baubles, chains and elecrtic lights.

Skijumping

Hello!
I have long been a fan of ski jumping.
Last Saturday, the team competition took place
Poles in the composition were: Kamil Stoch, Dawid Kubacki, Piotr Żyła and Maciej Kot.
The Competition took place in Klingenthal, Germany.
This was not a usual competition, because the Polish have made ski jumping history by winning the team competition for the first time in the World Cup!
That was a very exciting contest. The Poles dominated the competition in Klingenthal, finishing with a total score of 1128.7 points. They won by 40 points over Germany which took 2 nd place. 3rd place went to Austria. The Poles from the beginning of the season have been in a very good shape as proved in this contest. Each of them gave an equally far jump.
Kamil Stoch himself summed up the competition very successfully and said that they did a very good job in the summer, which now gave the results.  From this season The Poles have had a new coach Stefan Horngacher. Perhaps, thanks to him, the Poles started jumping so well
It was a great competition, certainly not to forget for a long time. With curiosity I look forward to the next contests in the execution of our players...
