Satna Claus

Św. Mikołaj in the UK is Father Christmas, or Santa Claus.
Children write letters to him and send them via mail, e-mail, or more traditionally, put letters to the fireplace and then the wind lifts the letter, which wanders through the chimney, and Santa Claus reads the note from the smoke.
Everywhere in the world, children put in the letters a list of gifts that they would like to get.
All children should leave Snacks for Santa Claus: a muffin or cookies with milk and carrots for the reindeers.
Father Christmas lives in the North Pole. He arrives on a sleigh, squeeze himself down  through the chimney and puts presents into socks, pillowcases, or leave them under the Christmas tree.
All of these, take place on Christmas Eve, and childern usually open their gifts on Christmas Day.
